Official Guidelines for Primary Selection & Grand Finale Participation. Welcome to the English Olympiad — a premier platform where brilliance meets opportunity.
Open to students in all 195 countries, the English Olympiad is more than a competition — it is a global celebration of linguistic excellence, future education, technology and leadership.
The Primary Selection is the foundational phase of the Olympiad. Season 5 registration has been extended to 30 November 2026 (Dhaka Time, GMT+6) for the fifth phase — the same deadline for every participant, nationwide and worldwide. The Selection Round itself runs in online phases, and every registered participant sits in one of them. To ensure broad reach and merit-based selection, we offer two main pathways for entry.
Individual students submit the EO 2026 form. Institutes submit one collective form for their nominated group.

Whoever is selected from the Selection Round moves on to the Theater Round. It may be held either offline or online over Zoom or Google Meet — but in every case, students go through performances and interviews. There is no route around that stage.
Because every selected participant later faces live performances and interviews, the Selection Round works best when it reflects a student's own ability. We warmly ask participants to sit the online exam entirely on their own, without outside assistance, and we invite families to support that spirit at home.
It is the fairest start for everyone — and the surest preparation for the stage ahead.

The Grand Finale is a high-energy, multi-day event featuring students from around the world. It is designed to be a "Festival of Merit," blending academic rigour with cultural exchange.
Upon selection for the Grand Finale, students must adhere to the following.
We believe that "Genius is global, but opportunity is not." We call upon partners across sectors to widen the gateway.
To recognise and facilitate the participation of national talents.
To fulfil CSR goals by sponsoring brilliant students for international travel and participation.
To provide the resources necessary for underprivileged but highly gifted students to reach the global stage.
Educational organisations can partner to organise events locally and internationally — gaining national and international focus through English Olympiad.
We will take all participants through structured preparation guidelines to grow together and face every challenge with confidence.
Although some books and online courses are widely available, we will take participants to another level of preparation — purpose-built to break through every obstacle they may face on the path to the Grand Finale.
Start with your group's official Season 5 syllabus, which sets out exactly what the Selection Round covers.
To ensure efficient, accurate and reliable support for our English Olympiad global community, email is our exclusive and official channel for all communication. This helps us maintain a clear record of your inquiry and route it to the appropriate department. We respectfully request that you do not use phone calls, social media DMs, text messages or other platforms for official matters or support requests.
Institutions should officially contact us, and individual students may register themselves. Complete the registration form to begin the journey. We encourage Corporate Houses, Foundations and Institutes to sponsor groups so that financial barriers do not hinder brilliant minds.
There are two pathways. Individual students register through the EO 2026 registration form and then sit the Online Selection Assessment. Alternatively, schools, colleges, foundations and government authorities can enter a group of students through Institutional Group Selection, where a designated coordinator submits one collective form on behalf of the institute.
